Expansion in Arnhem
A unique extension built on a very marshy, poorly load-bearing subsoil. The structure is founded on 14-meter-long, concrete-filled steel piles driven into the ground. The new building is heavily glazed, with a sliding double door bay over 8 meters wide and two skylights measuring approximately 2 x 1 meter; the entire structure is suspended from a steel support structure.
